Celery Juice

Hello!

Today I want to talk to you about Celery Juice…I have been a huge proponate of juicing for many years, however I was never clued in to Celery Juice particularly. Celery Juice seems to be gaining traction for several health benefits, keep in mind not all of these are scientifically proven with long studies, however I can attest to several as I started a daily Celery Juice program about 6 weeks ago. It is best to drink it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, as your body is most receptive to absorbing vitamins, mineral and antioxidants after fasting overnight and without the interference of food. If you can’t do it first thing, ( I do mine after coffee and exercise) wait 30 minutes after eating. As with any juice, drink it within 30 minutes of making as it oxidizes quickly. It is best to use Organic Celery to avoid pesticide residues. Today I added a couple pieces of watermelon (with rinds for the chlorophyll), you can also add some cucumber, apple, lemon, ginger or mint to give it a little pizzazz!

Pros: Cons:

*Supports Digestion/ Gut Health * Naturally salty so may not be suitable for those

*Eye Health (high in Vitamin A & C) watching their salt intake

*Lowers Inflammation * Contains Oxalates which may cause kidney stones

*High in Antioxidants *Can interact with blood thinners and diuretics

*May help regulate Blood Pressure

*Low in Calories and Sugar

*Hydration (95% water)

*Liver Support (helps to reduce fat buildup)

*Natural Diuretic & Laxative

*Supports eye health

If you are on any medications, you should ask your health professional beforehand to make sure there will be no conflicts with your treatment.

It is also possible to blend chopped celery with filtered water in a blender and then strain, however I love this Hamilton Beach Juicer for all my juices. I have used a lot of juicers over the years, this is the best one I have every owned, it is reasonable in price, powerful and well built.
